Nursing

The roles of our nursing volunteers have been diverse, covering various areas such as pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, maternity, mental health, surgery, and emergency (A&E) care. Their activities have included enhancing patient triage, monitoring, and infection prevention and control systems, promoting respectful care, running immunization clinics, conducting training programs in wound management, and supporting services related to sexual health, mental health, and family planning. Our nurses have also contributed to teaching on the newly developed nursing and midwifery degree programs at Mountains of the Moon University.

Placement locations for nursing volunteers vary from rural healthcare units and district hospitals to national hospitals. The roles can often be tailored to match the volunteers’ skills, experience, and personal preferences. We encourage applications from both early-career and senior nursing professionals.
